For the past twenty-five years, author Kathryn Aalto’s focus has been on places where nature and culture intersect: teaching literature of nature and place, designing gardens, and writing about the natural world. She is the author of two books: The Natural World of Winnie-the-Pooh: A Walk Through the Forest that Inspired the Hundred Acre Wood (2015) — a People Magazine Best Pick in Nonfiction and a feature on National Public Radio — and Nature and Human Intervention (2011). As a writer, she has a special interest in the geography of childhood and literary landscapes. Reviews of her latest book and her own writing have appeared in newspapers and magazines around the world, including The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe, and The Chicago Tribune.
